Charlotte Nuijten

Charlotte Nuijten is a PhD Candidate studying the commercial determinants of health, with a specific focus on how obesity is framed in societal discourse. Charlotte examines how language and framing—fundamental parts of our environment—shape perceptions of obesity and influence policy, reinforcing either individual or societal responsibility for health. Additionally, she investigates the Dutch food system’s role within these dynamics.
