Jeroen Lakerveld is Associate Professor at the Department of Epidemiology and Data Science of the Amsterdam University Medical Center. He leads a research group focusing on environmental determinants of lifestyle behaviours and chronic disease risk. His research interest and expertise are on built-environmental factors that are related to physical activity, sedentary and dietary behaviours and consequent health outcomes such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.

Currently he is the co-chair of the Upstream Team, coordinator of the OBCT project, PI of GECCO, project leader in Exposome-NL, and work package leader in the STAGE project.
