Mette van der Linden

Mette is a PhD candidate at Amsterdam UMC, where she investigates the relationship between the neighbourhood environment and health outcomes in older adults. Her research is part of the STAGE (Stay Healthy Through Ageing) project. During her PhD, she will develop an index to quantify neighbourhood healthiness in terms of preventing non-communicable diseases and multi-morbidity in late life.

 

Mette holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from VU Amsterdam, with a specialization in prevention and public health. She began her research career as a junior researcher at VU Amsterdam, where she studied the association between coffee consumption and frailty in older adults.
