Joline Beulens is a professor of lifestyle and cardiometabolic disease epidemiology at Amsterdam UMC. She pursues to identify effective ways to improve lifestyle behaviours and reduce the burden of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases at both individual and population level. 

Joline is one of the principal investigators of the Exposome-NL program and participates in the OBCT, Obesity: Biological, socioCultural, and environmental risk Trajectories and Expanse consortia. She is vice-chair of the nutrition committee of the Dutch health council and member of the International Scientific Committee for Nutri-Score and scientific advisory boards of the Netherlands Heart Foundation and Diabetes Fund.
